Berlin has such a robust collection leading institutions and individuals engaged in Open Source. The breakfast club aims to socialize and formalize a Berlin regional coalition of institutions coming together over breakfast.
Analogous to a community based OSPO framework, we’re aimed to break down silo’s between institutions using the culture of Open Source and Communitiy.

FOSS Backstage Design is a one-day conference featuring a comprehensive program of talks and workshops all around UX and Design in Free and Open Source Software. We will kick off the conference with our keynote speaker Aparna Sundar who will discuss how to build open source software while maintaining a good balance of community input and how to incorporate scientific research practices in software design.
Further conference topics include UX heuristics, building communities beyond the code, stewarding usability or designing UI without UI designers. #FOSSDesign also offers a platform to meet designers, UX-researchers, Open Source developers and more, to exchange ideas, experiences and develop new ideas together.
