FOSS Backstage provides a space to discuss community and project management, compliance and more for free & on open source software. We believe we can do this best by ensuring that people taking part are valued, respected, accepted and encouraged to fully participate. Part of ensuring a wide range of opinions can be shared at FOSS Backstage is ensuring that people from underrepresented groups within the FOSS Backstage community can attend and engage with the discussions.
As part of our efforts to to make FOSS Backstage a conference that is open, encouraging, and engaging we will be asking speakers and attendees to take part in a demographic survey.
We hope that this will help us plan better for future events, and keep FOSS Backstage transparent and accountable to our commitments to diversity and inclusion.
This data will be displayed after the event in a report, survey responses will be anonymous, and there is no obligation to take part.
In order to promote this diversity at FOSS Backstage we have initiated a diversity tickets program. As organizers we will be providing a number of diversity tickets. More tickets will be added for every Diversity Fund Contribution made.
Diversity Tickets are fully sponsored (i.e. free) tickets that are available to people from underrepresented groups within the FOSS Backstage community. This includes, but is not limited to: women, people of colour, LGBTQIA people, disabled people, and people facing economic or social hardships. If you would like a diversity ticket, please select it from the ticket shop on this page. We will initially be providing 1 on-site and 15 online diversity tickets with additional tickets being provided through partners and Diversity Fund Contributions. If you have any questions about eligibility for Diversity tickets please feel free to email Alex at info@foss-backstage.de
You can get a Diversity Ticket by registering through the ticket shop at the bottom of this page.
When you buy a Diversity Fund Contribution the proceeds are put in a pool to pay for Diversity Tickets. Diversity Support Tickets let you use your resources to support someone who might otherwise be unable to attend. You can make a Diversity Fund Contribution by paying for it in addition to your ticket in the ticket shop.
If you work for a company that would like to support our Diversity Tickets program we would love to hear from you. All of the supporters of the Diversity Tickets program will get their logos on this page as a thank you. Please send an email to Paul at info@foss-backstage.de to discuss supporting this program.
We would like to say a big thank you to everyone who supports this program
We want to host a conference that is open and accessible for everyone. Therefore, we have set up a dedicated page to inform you about accessibility at FOSS Backstage.
If you have further questions about diversity and inclusivity at FOSS Backstage; if you want to suggest improvements, or if you require further assistance, please do not hesitate to message Sven at info@foss-backstage.de
